Durham City & Tees Regattas 2018

YCRC continued their winning ways in May at Durham and Tees Regatta.

A large fleet of juniors and seniors headed to the always-competitive Durham City Regatta, and came back with an impressive list of wins. Our quads in particular made a massive impact , coming home with wins in the J184x-, J14 4x+, J13x+, WJ154x+, and Sen 4x-. A special shout out to our single scullers who raced through tough fields to claim their wins: Ben (Senior), Alfie (J18) and Charley (WJ15).

The pots also came thick and fast the following weekend at Tees Regatta the glorious sunshine marking a change from the lightning storms of previous years! There was another slew of wins for our juniors, with wins again in J184x, J14 4x+ (Champ AND Foundation), WJ154x+, J14 2x, W J15 2x (Champ) and J14 1x. Not to be outdone by the young ‘uns, the masters squad were also out to notch up the wins, bringing home pots from the WMasE4+, WMasF2x in commanding fashion, with the Mas D 8+ storming through the handicap in the final to take the win from two Tees E crews.

Well done all round!
