Two crews from York competed at Henley Royal Regatta last week. The mens coxed 4 competed in the Britannia Challenge Cup but unfortunately were drawn against the favorites and eventual winners, Agecroft. The junior 16 quad also competed in the Fawley Challenge Cup but also lost in the first round by Borlase and Maidenhead R.C. The mens quad also entered but unfortunately were unable to qualify. A great time was had by all who attended the event.

They completed the final in a time of 5 minutes and 4 seconds, beating Vesta Rowing Club by half a length. The womens 4+ who also qualified sadly were knocked out in the first round. Congratulations to all crews who raced!

Another boat naming!

Yes, we've got another boat to name on Sunday 29th at 12 Noon. This time we have a double which we'll be naming Galmanho. Galmanho was the name of the settlement outside the city walls in the Marygate area. Hope to see everyone there! We'll be opening the bar for the boat race afterwards.
