Chester Regatta 2018

Our juniors and seniors had a fantastic day at Chester Regatta last weekend, racing in good conditions and getting their hands (briefly) on some impressive silverware.

The 4- of Joey, Dan, Tristan and Simon, along with Jez in the 1x, won their events, all the sweeter as Dan and Tristan are only in their first season of regatta racing. Good rows were put in by Paul and Oli (2-) as well as Ben and Chris (2x), but they were beaten to the wins. The women were also in action, losing out by an agonising half a length in their heat W8+, and the W4+ and W2x were also knocked out in their heats, but still with some good performances from boats with a large number of new rowers on board.

The juniors were also out in force, bringing home a whole host of wins from the younger end of the squad: the WJ14 and J13 4x+s,  Eliana (WJ141x) & Charley (WJ151x) in the singles, and Keira and Hannah in the WJ132x.
A great day was had by all, thanks again to Paul for trailering across the Pennines and thankyou to Chester for putting on a lovely Regatta for the 285th year.
