YCRC at the 32nd Traversée de Paris

Allez les Anglaises!!

Two YCRC crews crossed the channel this year to complete the Traversée de Paris: 28km from the far west of Paris to the centre, round the Isle de la Cité, and back again. Joining 250 other boats, this was the third time our ladies had made the trip to the event which closes the Seine and allows  rowers a view of the bridges and sights rarely possible – a magical way to experience a Parisian sunrise.

Our contingent of current and past YCRC rowers contained crew members from four different nations, all turned out in traditional fancy dress – this year “Chefs and Waiters”, replete with giant garlics and champagne bottle.

The event was enjoyed by all involved, who thank the organisers and their excellent support crew. The rowers are currently plotting their next rowing adventure…
